"Families: the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly"

In this week's Torah portion we have the well know family story of Isaac, Rebekah, Jacob, Esau, and the "stolen" blessing. Traditionally the blame for the family conflict that we read about is on Jacob who supposedly deceived Isaac and stole the blessing that was rightfully Essau's. But as we'll see, pointing blame in this story is not so simple. There is plenty of fault to go around, as there is in most conflicts. Let's take a deeper look at how things actually went down and what lessons we can apply to our lives.
