In this week's Torah portion, we find Abraham sending his faithful servant out to find a wife for Isaac. In sending him out, he has him swear an oath by placing his hand "under the thigh" of Abraham. Strange right? Actually, there is some deep significance to this common ritual in the ancient Near East, and it has to do with the covenant. Let's dig in and unpack the meaning of this ritual and how it applies to us today in our walk with God.
