As we begin the book of Shemot (Exodus) we read the story of God calling Moses to free the enslaved people of Israel. Key to that calling is an old shepherd's rod that Moses has used for 40 years to shepherd sheep. That rod now becomes the rod of God that will be instrumental in the redemption of our people.  Let's take a look and see what we can learn from this important story.
