Part 1: A Godly Response To Bad News

This week we begin a new message series on the book of Nehemiah. There are many themes associated with this book. But the one that stands out the most is one of rebuilding and restoration, both in restoring the broken walls of Jerusalem, and in restoring the spiritually broken lives of the Jewish people at the time. There are some great lessons for us in this book, as we also look to the ultimate restorer of “broken walls” and broken lives, Yeshua. 

In part 1 we will look at the background of the book, why it was written, and how Nehemiah, who is in a high position in Persia, responds to the news about the distressed situation in Jerusalem
