The Mystery of the Red Cow

This week is another special Shabbat, Shabbat Parah , which is all about the purification rites of the red heifer described in Numbers 19, which is traditionally read as part of the Torah reading. It is read during the time when the pilgrims would prepare to go up to Jerusalem for Passover and would need to be purified before bringing the sacrifice of the Passover lamb. What does that have to do with us today? Plenty, let's take a look and see
