Shabbat Chazon: From Tragedy to Redemption

This Shabbat is Shabbat Chazon (Vision) based on the haftarah portion from Isaiah 1. This is traditionally read on the Shabbat before Tisha b'Av, which is Sunday. This is traditionally a day of mourning and sadness because of all the tragedies in Jewish history that occured on that day. We also read about redemption to come, both for Israel and the nations.
