Erev Yom Kippur
Oct 11, 2024 • Rabbi Ira Brawer
There is an ancient Rabbinic tradition based on Isaiah 53 that the Messiah would be a "leper", one who is diseased and treated as an outcast. And yet He would take upon himself all of our sin and sickness. Kind of a paradox, right? But only one person fulfilled that role, that is Yeshua, who became the ultimate atonement, and in doing so took upon Himself our sin and sickness. On this Yom Kippur we are reminded of that atonement, the one time sacrifice for all time.
